Gingerbread Latte

Ingredients

  • 1 cup barista style oat milk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 + 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 + 1/8 tsp ground ginger root
  • 1/8 tsp all spice
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • Pinch nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tbs dark maple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1 shot espresso (or to preference)

Instructions

Method 1: In a saucepan, whisk all ingredients except espresso until well combined. Place the saucepan on medium heat and heat the mixture until hot and steamy but do not boil. Stir or gently whisk the mixture occasionally to ensure the ingredients are well combined and the spices have dissolved. Once the mixture is ready, remove from heat. Pour espresso into a coffee mug and pour the hot milk mixture over the espresso. Use a milk frother for foam.

Method 2: Blend all ingredients together, except espresso, until well combined. Transfer mixture to a saucepan and heat until hot but do not boil. Once the mixture is ready, remove from heat. Pour espresso into a coffee mug and pour the hot milk mixture over the espresso.
